“Be honest and don’t be selfish. Don’t be frightful”.

This musician from The San Fernando Valley in Southern California has been in San Francisco for the past year and a half. He lives on the streets of this City By The Bay, though he has never seen the Bay. He hopes that one day soon he will.

Steven is a drummer at heart. He has played The Whiskey and The Troubadour and other venues of fame. He claims to “Very Eclectic”, and also plays the piano and guitar. His voice opens up in song at times, and that brings him happiness. It was just the other day he says, that song got him through the day. “It makes me Happy”.

I ask him what for today is he grateful for. Without hesitation he responds “For the people who are around me. All people. Whites, Black, rich or Poor…it doesn’t matter….we are all one race”.
